Hachey, Kayla Nicole Marie 1987-2008 The family announces with sorrow her peaceful passing surrounded by her family on Monday March 31, 2008 at her home after her courageous battle with cancer at the age of 20 years. Loving daughter of Richard and Linda Hachey of Timmins. Dear sister of Tammy (Dean Windsor) and Lyndsay Hachey. Dear aunt of Abbygail Windsor and godmother to Tylor Windsor. Dearest granddaughter of Wanetta Major (nee Dufresne). Kayla will be missed by life long buddy Sarah Vaillancourt, as well as aunts and uncles, Nicole Cook (Stephen), Julie Munro, Louise Lachance (Gaston) of Iroquois Falls, Helene Huppe (Jacques), Marjorie Perry (Don) of Kirkland Lake, Nancy Major (Don), Tina Major (Rob Renaud), Rudy Major, Julie Huppe-Thibeault (Stephane) and numerous cousins. She also leaves behind her classmates of 2008 and her horse Goldie. Predeceased by her grandfather Rudolph (Ruddy) Major and grandparents Laurence and Regina Hachey. Kayla overcame many difficult challenges in her 20 years, and faced them with strength, courage and determination. Kayla’s goals in life, were riding horses and graduating from Registered Massage Therapy. Kayla started riding horses at the age of 4. Kayla’s dream in life was to own her own horse, and with a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Brenda Gallie, who recently helped make this dream come true. The family would like to thank everyone who cared for Kayla, Bayshore, C.C.A.C., The Red Cross, Timmins and District Hospital, Dr. Huggins, and Dr. Critchley. A special thank you to nurse Sandra, who was an angel sent from above and made this time much easier, and to Dr. Brenda Gallie (Toronto) who went one step beyond. Remembrance donations made to the Timmins Therapeutic Riding Association towards the construction of an indoor Rink, and to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday April 3, 2008 from the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME Chapel. Interment Timmins Memorial Cemetery.
