McEWEN, Ernest Douglas Francis - 1927 - 2008. It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing away, peacefully, of Ernest McEwen, Wednesday June 25, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake. Ernest is the son of the late James and Mary McEwen, beloved husband of Anne McEwen and loving father of Roberta- Mary, Douglas (Julie), David, Dennis (friend Debbie) Patricia, step-father of Carol and Don (Lucy-Ann) Trudeau. Cherished grandfather of Aaron, Rachel, Dexter, Sara, Donnelly, Jessica, Kalita, Akeshia, Ryan, Maddy, Corey, Joshua, Alex and Abigail. Great grandfather of Bryan. A longtime resident of our community and a retiree of Denison Mines, Ernest will truly be missed by numerous friends and relatives. A religious service was held June 30th, at Our Lady of Fatima Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by his family.
