Laszlo CSEH

Laszlo Cseh (Laci Bacsi) - passed away June 20, 2004 in the Regina General Hospital at the age of 92 years. He was born on December the 16th, 1911 in the Village of Besenyszog in Hungary. He immigrated to Canada on December 29th of 1956. He made his home in Regina, where he married Bertha. He was predeceased by his parents, Janos Cseh & Rosalia Pomazi; two sisters and three brothers in Hungary. He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha; a step-son, Adolph Varjassy (Betsy); his grandson, Allan Varjassy; and two great-grandchildren, Shane and Kendra Varjassy. Laszlo was very proud of becoming a Canadian citizen, but he was also very involved in passing on his Hungarian culture. Since 1959 he has been an active member of Regina Hungarian and Cultural and Social Club. For 18 years he also had been a member of the former St. Stephen’s Hungarian Roman Catholic Parish. Socializing and traveling had been his life-long passion, and he and Bertha made a dozen trips to Hungary to visit relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed by his family, relatives and friends.
