Daniel Kobe, of RR 3 Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, July 31, 2008. He was 88. Born in Bentinck Township, son of the late Daniel and Annie (Schuknecht) Kobe. Dan farmed all his life until retiring. Survived by wife Marjorie (Corlett) Kobe, whom he married 57 years ago; daughters Doris Kobe of RR 3 Hanover, Grace (Steve) Selk of Fairfax, Virginia, U.S.A., granddaughters Karen and Susanne. Also survived by sister Pearl (Allister) MacKay of Ripley. Predeceased by brothers Ken, Dave and Harry and a sister, Ruby Schmidt. Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Sunday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service was held on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 2 pm, at Grace United Church, Hanover. Rev. Rienk Vlietstra officiated. Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Flowers were appreciated or memorial donations to Grace United Church were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
