Mrs. Sophie Cecelia Wurm June 8, 1917 - August 23, 2008 WURM – Mrs. Sophie Cecelia Wurm, 91 years of age, formerly of Peterson, SK, peacefully passed away at Saskatoon City Hospital on Saturday, August 23, 2008. She is survived by her four children, Norbert, Garry (Shirley), Lorna Blandford (Robert), and Irene Tarala (Barry); daughter in law, Gwen; and sister, Lena Hamm; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Leo; son, Jerome; grandson, Brent; and daughter in law, Patricia Sarantopoulos. Sophie’s married years were spent on the family farm working hard and retirement was spent traveling. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Vigil for Sophie will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with celebrant, Rev. Fr. Joseph Nsiah. Both services will take place at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church, 1902 Munroe Avenue (corner of Taylor and Munroe), Saskatoon, SK. Rite of Committal will take place beside her husband at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Peterson, SK at 2:00 p.m. Condolences to the family may be forwarded through www.parkfuneal.ca.
