BENNET, PEARL (nee Arkley) (Former Board Member of the Couchiching Conservancy; Orillia Naturalists Club; Founding Director of the Yellow Brick House, Aurora; Long time Volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society; Member Orillia Historical Society and the Snow Bunnies) peacefully, at home on the banks of her beloved Black River, Washago, ON, after a long battle with cancer and with her family by her side, on Monday, August 18th, 2008; in her 83rd year. Pearl Bennet beloved wife of the late John (Jack) A. Bennet. Loving mother of Jeffrey Poulin (Rose Duong) of Washago, Bruce (Jeannette) Poulin of Mildmay, ON, and her best friend Patsy Wallace of Toronto. Also loved Nana of Taylor and Elyse Poulin. Dear sister of Barbara (Lowell) Hicks of Salt Spring Island, B.C., cousin of Dorothy Shields of Vancouver, B.C. and Ann and Betty (nee MacDowell) and survived by her niece, nephews and their families. Dear friend of Dr. Si Lowry, her family physician. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia, ON..
