FERGUSON (MALCOLM), LEAH passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1st, 2008, at the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine after a lengthy battle with cardiac disease. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Ada Malcolm. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-one years, Norman, one son Andrew (Charlene), a daughter JoAnne Palmer, and a brother Donald Malcolm. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Jaclyn Palmer and several nieces and nephews. Leah's garden was her pride and joy. On every fine day(and a few foggy ones, too) she could be found in her back yard tending her flowers or pruning her shrubs. She also enjoyed her friendship with "The Girls" from the Voc graduating class of 1954, who meet every month to enjoy food and fellowship .Leah was a devout Christian and a member of Edith Avenue Baptist Church for several years. Her quiet , gentle manner and her smiling face will be missed by the congregation and by all who knew her. A memorial service and reception will be celebrated at the Edith Avenue Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Interment will take place at a private ceremony in the Lorneville Cemetery at a later date.
