Melvin Golem Posted 5 days ago Melvin Rudolph Golem, of Chesley, passed away at Elgin Abbey, Chesley on Monday, September 1, 2008 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Ruth (Agnew). Loving father of John and Elaine Golem of RR 1 Desboro, Gloria Albright and Murray Cook of RR 4 Chesley, Karen and Allan Moon of Aylmer, Melva and Keith Paylor of RR 1 Durham. Cherished grandfather of Cherylanne Golem (Brian Kotaba), Jeffrey Albright, Lisa Beirnes (Rob), Stevan Moon (Jodie Kingsley), Dianna Woodford (Randy), Ian Paylor (Hazel) and Terrill Ermel (Dean) and great-grandfather of Jordan, Jaclyn, Zachary, Katlyn, Skylar, Wyatt, Paige, Aiden, Sydney, Tristan and Garret. Melvin was predeceased by his son-in-law Howard Albright; brothers Joseph and Harry; sisters Dora Blake and Lena Naylor and parents Fritz and Lizzie (Slumskie) Golem. Visitation at Cameron Funeral home, Chesley on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 7-9 pm, and on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 12:30 pm until time of the service in the chapel at 2 pm. Rev. Barry Lang officiated. Interment in Chesley Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mel's grandchildren Lisa Beirnes, Cherylanne Golem, Terrill Ermel, Zachary Kotaba, Stevan Moon and Ian Paylor. Flower bearer was his granddaughter Dianna Woodford.
