HECKAMAN-FERRARO, Matthew. It is with immense sadness that we announce the tragic death of Matthew on October 20, 2004 at the age of 22. He leaves in deep sorrow his adoring wife Stacie, his loving mother and stepfather Claire and Eddy Ferraro, his stepsister Cynthia Ferraro (Daniel Aston), his father and stepmother Marshall and Sharon Heckaman of Indiana along with his siblings, Andria, David and Allan, his father in-law and mother in-law Mike and Marjorie Bland of Maryland and their daughters Resha and Stephanie, Stacie's grandmother Anastacia Quitania, Matthew's grandparents Adrien and Cecile Blanchette of Montreal, John and Ruth Heckaman of Indiana. He was predeceased by his stepbrother Jonathan Ferraro. Matthew will also be mourned by his aunts and uncles Helene Blanchette (Denis Pare) and Pierre Blanchette of Montreal, Nicole Blanchette (Brian Smith) of London, Ont., and Dorothy (Doc) Anderson of Illinois and by all of his extended family and friends in Montreal, Indiana, Maryland and elsewhere. Matthew was an active member of the U.S. Army. He will be interred with full military honours at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. The Montreal Gazette
