HALL, (Penny) Florence Henrietta, nee Penner - Born 28 August 1925 near Hepburn, Sask., eldest daughter of Henry August Penner and Helena Dyck. Penny joined the Canadian Women's Army Corps in 1944 and served in Ottawa until 1946, then worked for the Exhibition Commission, Armoured Corps School, RCAF and Customs and Excise. Married August 1951, as a military wife she made homes for her family in Ladner, Alliston, Ottawa, Kingston, Camp Bordon and in Rheydt and Moenchengladbach (Germany). Returned to work as a secretary in 1977, retiring from Art Conservation at Queen's University in 1986. A lifelong and enthusiastic volunteer, including for the Girl Guides and Trefoil Guil as well as for Kingston Frontenac Public Library and for the Friends of KFPL, she was active in St. Maragret's United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion. She was a devoted grandmother to Daniel and Jenna and a loving sister to Norma Symon and Wayne Penner; predeceased by her brother Alan and her brother-in-law Bill. Penny died suddenly on Friday, October 3 with family by her side. Dearly missed by her husband of 57 years, William (Bill) Vernon Hall, her daughters Helen Anne Hall and Mary Jean Caffro, and by her son-in-law Daniel Caffro. She was a true friend and her kindness will be missed by many. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 pm. at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME (1900 John Counter Blvd) on Saturday, October 11. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice. 11268787
