HAUERBACH, Renate Katarina, nee Mller - (Aug. 19, 1936 - Oct. 21, 2008) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Renate Hauerbach. Born in Germany, she is predeceased by her mother Kethe, father Lorenz, and brother Klaus. She is survived by her adoring husband Paul Hauerbach, sons Andrew (Sonja Leigh) and Peter. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Teighlore, Reghan, Jason and Matthew, as well as by her brothers Otto (Crystal), Hanjuergen, much loved niece Lara Mller, and cousin Marina. Renate visited Canada in 1962 and soon after her arrival met Paul. Their short courtship and long marriage was one of absolute devotion, caring and kindness. Renate's huge heart and out-going personality drew-in everyone she met, and she and Paul fostered many close friendships throughout their life together. Renate worked at McCann- Erickson for eighteen years until she retired in 1991 to their Markdale, Ontario farm. Her creativity and passion for gardening show strongly in the development of her park-like gardens at their country property. She loved hard work, but she equally enjoyed good food, wonderful friends, and the nearness of her family. She will be dearly missed by all those around her. A private family gathering has been arranged for the celebration of Renate's life. In lieu of flowers please offer a donation to the Ontario Humane Society. 11293492
