Dubien, Joan (nee Wallingford) 1938-2008 The family announces with sorrow her death at St. Michael’s Hospital on Wednesday June 11, 2008 at the age of 69 years. Dear mother of Laura-Lee Robineau (Dale) and Ricky Lee (Janet) all of Timmins. Sadly missed by grandchildren Stanley, Hubby, Alen and Victor. Dearest sister of Shirley St. Jacques (Yves) and Gordon Wallingford (Donna) all of Timmins. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by mother Eva (Tootsie) and father Miles; her brothers and sisters, George, Sheila, Miles Jr. and Ray also husband DeDe(Robert) Dubien. Joan was a longtime volunteer with many organizations including the Ladies Auxiliary at TDH, Red Cross, Heart and Stroke, and Canadian Cancer Society. Yellow was Joan’s favorite colour and anyone attending wishing to wear yellow would add a special touch. In lieu of flowers remembrance donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. The family would like to send their heart felt thanks to the many Doctors and Nurses in Timmins and Toronto for their care and compassion and a special thank you to Ron for his companionship when she was so far away from her family. The family will receive friends on Monday June 16, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins. A private memorial service will be held.
