MCCAFFREY, J. WILLARD The death of J. Willard McCaffrey of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Saturday, October 30th, 2004. Born in Oak Hill, Charlotte Co. NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Susie (Hitchings) McCaffrey and the husband of Roberta (Kierstead) McCaffrey. After attending the schools in St. Stephen NB, during WWII, he inlisted in the Canadian Army serving in RCAMC in Canada. Subsequently joining the Federal Public Service. After thirty- five years of service, he retired, while employed in the Base Comptroller Branch at CFB Gagetown. He was a member of LOL No. 20 Fredericton, NB, and Whitestone Preceptory No. 308 RDK of Ireland, Fredericton, NB, also, a member of the First Congregational Chruch of Fredericton. Survived by his wife, T. Roberta; sons, George E. of Saint John, NB, Grant W. of Hunter River, PEI, Gard K.of Tide Head, NB; daughter Nan Wood of Kentville, NS, four grandchildren, Karen, and Donnie McCaffrey, Todd and Keegan Wood; several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, brothers, James, Harold, Kenneth, Philip, George and twin brother, William; sisters, Louise, Alice and Audrey. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2004 at 10:30 am. Rev. Dr. Bradley Little will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Stephen Cemetery, St. Stephen, NB on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2004 at 2:00 pm. No flowers by request and for those who wish, memorial tributes made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 will hold tribute on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2004 at 6:30 pm www.mcadamsfh.com
