Alexander Hintz January 04, 1913 - October 30, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Home HINTZ, Alexander Alexander Hintz passed away after a brief illness on October 30, 2004 at the Misericordia Hospital. He was born in Edmonton on January 4, 1913 and moved to the family farm by Hay Lakes AB, where he lived until he wed Lydia Knopp in 1940. He worked for Muttart Lumber until his retirement in 1977. He served overseas for four years purifying and hauling fresh water for the soldiers. He had a deep love of music and played several instruments and had many fond memories of dances where he played. He was predeceased by his parents and infant son, Harvey and brother, Carl. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 64 years, Lydia; daughter, Marge Suddards (Jack); son, Brian Hintz of Calgary; and daughter, Donna Sandberg (Laurie) of Red Deer; grandchildren, Allan Suddards of Red Deer, Laurie Andrews (Wayne) of Calgary, Kristen Hintz, Jonathan Hintz of Calgary and Christy Sandberg and fiancé Nathan Trescher of North Bay ON, and Leanne Schell (Andrew) of Kingston ON; and great-grandchildren, Ian and Emma Andrews of Calgary. He was a kind and generous man who will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
