Cécile Houle-Chabot of Hearst died on Sept. 30, 2008, at the age of 86. Mrs. Houle-Chabot was born on Dec. 19, 1921 in Hearst. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards and gardening. She is survived by four children: Donald (Lise) and René (Henriette) , all of Mattice, Claire of Hearst and Jeanne (Fern) Arsenault of North Bay; one sister, Rita Ratté of Ottawa; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Houle-Chabot was predeceased by her first husband, Antonin, second husband Gerard, and grandson Patrick Arsenault. Father Gerald Chalifoux officiated the funeral service Oct. 4, 2008 at St. François Xavier Church in Mattice. Funeral director was Lafrance Funeral Home.
