Jeannine LONGPRÉ

Jeannine Shuren of Kapuskasing died at Sensenbrenner Hospital on Oct. 4, 2008. Mrs. Shuren was born on April 14, 1934 in Kapuskasing. She was a well-known business-woman in Kapuskasing and owned a clothing store. Family members described her as a friendly, people person, who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting. She is survived by two daughters: Linda (Bernie) Poisson of Kap and Cathy (Chris) Towns of Elmvale; and two grand-daughters: Jennifer and Meaghan. Mrs. Shuren was predeceased by her husband Fred; one grandson, Kyle Bastien; one sister, Aline Cadieux; and two brothers: Jean-Guy and Roland Longpré. Father Réal Veilleux officiated the funeral service Oct. 7, 2008, at Immaculée Conception Church. Cremation took place at the Hillcrest Crematorium in Matheson. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral director was Guenette Funeral Home.
