MORELAND, William 'Bill' A. - Suddenly at his home in Sunbury, on Friday, November 7, 2008, in his 79th year. Bill Moreland, beloved husband of Hazel (nee Brown) for 56 years. Dear father of William Jr. (Jennifer) of Ottawa, Dianne Garrett (Stephen) of Inverary, Marilyn Stitt (John) of Pickering and Albert (Laurie) of Sunbury. Affectionately know as 'Pop' to his grandchildren, Michael and Kristan; Jeff, Michelle and Scott; Greg and David; Jake and Kari. Dear brother of Carol Shaw and Wray and Robert Moreland. Predeceased by sister Marjorie Thompson and brothers Vernon and Richard Moreland. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, as well as his neighbours and many friends. Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, (1900 John Counter Boulevard). Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, November 11, at 1:30 pm, with Reverend Heather McLurg-Murphy officiating. Interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Inverary United Church or University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario), in Mr. Moreland's memory.
