MACDONALD, George, Peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2004 at his residence, at 71 years of age. Beloved husband of Catherine, for 50 years. Loving father of Deborah Anne (Dennis) Smith, Diane Lynn Wood, Ronald John MacDonald. Cherished papa of Adam Thomas Wood. Dear brother of May (Alf) Brady, Lavina (Keith) Punch, JoAnn (Mike) Jerow, dear brother-in-law of Lillian Birmingham and John Birmingham. Predeceased by his brothers Ronald and Melvin. George will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. George was employed with General Motors of Canada for 38 years. He was a member of the CAW Local 199 Retirees, and the Dunlop Seniors. Mr. MacDonald is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., until Fr iday at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in st. Patrick's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial re membrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
