QUA, George Telford, With great sadness the Qua family announces the peaceful passing of George Telford Qua on September 7, 2004, at home surrounded by his family. Surviving George are his wife Theresa; his loving children Bernadine (Bob Nichols), G eorge (Glenda), Stephen, Robert, James (Kristine), Jeffery (Cate); his precious grandchildren Alexander, Joshua, Nicholas, Megan, Amy, Kyle and Derek; cousins Phyllis Harris and Lois Clifford; several nieces and a nephew. George was predeceased by hi s parents George and Pauline Qua. George was born May 17, 1933 in Niagara Falls. He attended Stamford Collegiate, Waterloo College and Albert College. George was Chairman of the Board and owner of Niagara Supply Group (Niagara Plumbing Supply, Gladdi ng Sales, Niagrow, Millen Marine and Industrial Supply, and Bathworks and More), with branches throughout Niagara and Hamilton. He was a member of the Niagara Falls Rotary Club, was President in 1973 and received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award in 1 976. George was also a long-standing member of the Stamford Old Boys Club. He was an avid pilot and fisherman. Other interests included the stock market, cooking, astronomy and reading. He especially enjoyed getting away to the cottage with the famil y. George will be forever remembered as a decent, kind and gentle soul. He was a true gentleman. George will be proudly carried to rest by his six children. George is at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street where his f amily will receive friends on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate George's life will be held at Lundy's Lane United Church on Friday morning at 10 o'clock.
