CROAL, Monica Marie (nee Deitrick), of Fort Erie passed away at the Residence on the Garrison, Fort Erie on Friday, September 17, 2004 at the age of 89 years. Born in Buffalo, New York on September 7, 1915, Mrs. Croal has lived in the Fort Erie area for all of her life. She was employed as a stenographer for the Mentolatum Company, then as a Secretary at the Civil Defense Office and Markel Electric, located all in Fort Erie. She was a lifetime member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church and S t. Michael's C.W.L. Mrs. Croal is the wife of the late John David Croal. She is also predeceased by her parents, Thomas Deitrick of Dusseldorf, Germany and Helen (Nell) Deitrick (nee Kavanaugh) of Fort Erie and a brother, the late John Deitrick, who died in W.W.II while serving in the U.S. Army. She is sadly missed by her son, the Rev. John Croal, Pastor of St. John Bosco Church in Port Colborne, Ontario. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 from 1 0:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass time at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Fort Erie, Ontario. Rite of Committal of ashes in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fort Erie, at a later date. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
