Lydia PAULS

REIMER, Lydia, At the Norfolk General Hospital, on October 5, 2004, Lydia Reimer of Port Rowan, went home to be with her Lord. She leaves to mourn her husband of 57 years, Jake, and her children, whom she loved with all her heart, David and his wife Ruth of Port Rowan, Richard and his wife Clara of Boissevain, Manitoba, Gordon and his wife Rita of Port Rowan, Lois and her husband Richard MacKenzie of Brampton, Lawrence of Fenwick, and Valerie McClelland of Virgil. She will be sadly missed by 23 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her son-in-law Bill Wiebe and his wife Lorraine. Survived by sisters Katie and her husband Howard Shuh of St. Jacobs, Mary Scott of L.A., California, Annie and her husband Henry Teigrob of Chilliwack, B.C. , Alice and her husband Peter Krahn of Armstrong, B.C., Margaret and her husband Jim Newton of New Dundee, Sue and her husband David Lewis of Abbottsford, B.C. and by her brother Henry Pauls and his wife Luella of St. Catharines. Also fondly remember ed by her brothers and sisters-in-law Jake Penner, Henry and Betty Reimer, Margaret and Peter Driedger, Helen and John Heinrichs, Bill and Ellen Reimer, Erna and Henry Hiebert, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Aaron and Maria P auls, daughter Ruthann Wiebe, brothers Cornelius and Aron, and brothers-in-law Art Friesen and Don Scott. Lydia was born in Plum Coulee, Manitoba, the daughter of Aaron and Maria Pauls, on January 4, 1927. In 1938, the Pauls family moved to Port Rowa n and settled down on a farm on the Lake Road. Lydia accepted the Lord as her Saviour at the age of 12 and was baptized in 1944. In 1947, she married Jake Reimer and they were blessed with seven children. Relatives and friends may call at the JEFFREY W. GLENDINNING FUNERAL HOME, 36 Front St., Port Rowan, on Thursday from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Port Rowan Mennonite Brethren Church on Friday, October 8, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Charles Mayo officiating.
