PAGANI, Richard Dario (Dick), B. Arch., Passed away peacefully and unexpectedly October 14, 2004. Son of the late Dario and Mary Pagani, Dick was born in Guelph, ON. March 3, 1930. He attended Sacred Heart School and GCVI. In 1954, he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass. Following graduation he spent nearly a year in Milan, Italy working in the office of Architetto Gio Ponti. On his return to Guelph, he joined in partn ership with James E. Secord, and Leonard Huget to form the architectural firm, Huget, Secord and Pagani. In 1958, the firm was awarded The Massey Silver Medal for Architecture. He was employed by H.G. Acres of Niagara Falls in the late 1960's and wor ked briefly for the Cannon Partnership before assuming the role of president of D.L. Pagani Ltd. Dick is survived by his beloved wife Yvonne (Hammar), much loved children Catherine Pagani of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Suzanne and her husband Dan Ruginis of Burlington, ON and Thomas and his wife Sandra of London, ON. Loving Nonno to Natalie and Daria Ruginis, and Victoria and Michael Pagani. Lovingly remembered by his sister Lillian Dunbar, brother-in-law Mac Dunbar and niece Melissa Dunbar, as well as an aunt, Pearl Lind and cousin Josephine Bundy of Willmington, Delaware, Martino Gardinetti of Milano and cousin Adriana Villa and relatives in Corgeno, Italy. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Mass in celebration of Dick's l ife will take place Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Our Lady, Norfolk St., Guelph. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Richard and Dario Pagani Memorial Fund, Alumni House, University of Guelph, N1G 2W1 would be appreciated by the family.
