RIGBY, John Edwin "Jack", The family of John Edwin (Jack) Rigby sadly announce his passing on Friday, October 22, 2004 in his 84th year. Jack will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Irene (nee Nelson) of 57 years, daughter Nancy Young and sons-in-law Emmett (Isaac) Young and Ron Green. Predeceased by his daughter Catherine Green (March 12, 2004) and brother George Rigby (September 21, 2003). Jack was a Veteran of WWII serving as a fighter pilot with 402 Squadron R.C.A.F., also a memb er of Royal Niagara Military Institute, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17 in Thorold, Mountain Lodge #221 A.F. & A.M., former Flying Instructor with St. Catharines and Welland Flying Clubs and a longtime employee as an electrician with Ontario Paper Mi ll. The family will receive friends at the KARL A. HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Lakevie w Cemetery, Thorold. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17 will hold a Memorial Service at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 p.m. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or St. Catharines General Hospital Intensive Care Unit would be appreciated by the family. 10/25/2004- ID5072740 - St. Catharines Standard
