Mrs. Clara Bourassa December 14, 1926 - October 19, 2008 - Mrs. Clara Bourassa, age 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Victoria Hospital on Sunday, October 19, 2008. Clara is survived by her loving family: her husband Romeo of 58 years of marriage; her daughter Jeanette (Doug) Lucyshyn of Saskatoon; her two sons Maurice of Prince Albert and Neal (Olga) of Edmonton, AB; her six grandchildren Danica Lucyshyn of Saskatoon, Melanie (Gerald) Smoot of Cutbank, Montana, Suzanne Bourassa of Red Deer, Carolyn Bourassa of Edmonton, Dennis Wojcichowsky of Prince Albert and Anna-Klara Bourassa of Edmonton and her seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Charles Beres; her sister Emma and her brother Aladar. Clara was born on December 14, 1926 and grew up on the farm, her mother and father’s homestead near Red Deer Hill. Before she was married she was employed at the Victoria Union Hospital. Clara and Romeo were married in Prince Albert where they spent most of their married life. Clara enjoyed gardening, preserving and baking. While nurturing a stable and loving environment for her family, she spent many hours crocheting and knitting. She spent many wonderful and memorable summers fishing and camping with her husband and children. Clara loved spending time with her grandchildren, always looking forward to their visits and news. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23 from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church by The Reverend Father Matthew Nguyen.
