Ali MAHFOUZ

MAHFOUZ, Ali. January 1, 1919 - October 30, 2004 In hospital, after a long courageous battle, at the age of 85, Ali Mahfouz peacefully passed away with his family and friends by his side. Son of the late Omar Issa Mahfouz and Salma Fouani. Predeceased by his beloved wife Zarife. Loving father of Issaaf (Ali Awada) and Omar (Lamia) and the late Adnan (Houda). Predeceased by his three brothers Ali, Mohamed and Mahmoud. Survived by his three sisters Loutfie, Autrie and Fawzie, all of Lebanon. Cherished grandfather of Camille (Laura), Lyla (Ken Jones), Jihad (Michelle), Eliane (Edwin Pouponneau), Donyah (Hicham Farhat), Nadiya (Khaled Taha), Yasmine, Isabelle (Osagie Irowa), Ziyad, Ali, Hassen, Samer, Mohamed and Amer. Precious great grandfather of Amanda, Adam, Alexander, Khadija and Noah. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews as well as his many friends. Prayer service will be held today at 12:30 p.m. at the Ottawa Mosque on 251 North Western Avenue. Funeral service will follow from the Mosque to the Highland Park Cemetery in Carp. Condolences can also be conveyed at the residence of Omar Mahfouz at 262 King George Street from Monday to Wednesday (November 1 to 3) 6 p.m. to 9 pm.
