LYTTLE, Michael (Mike) - With heavy hearts and great sadness, the family of Michael (Mike) Lyttle announces his passing. Michael passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on Thursday morning November 27th, surrounded by those he loved the most. Born in Belfast, N. Ireland in 1955, he came to Sarnia at the tender age of 12. The youngest of a large family, he was the object of much good-natured teasing, always received with a ready smile. He had a great sense of humour, which he used to embellish many of his escapades, much to the delight of his family and friends. Michael was a loving and loyal friend to all who knew him and he saw only the best in people. He truly had a heart of gold and was generous and good-natured to everyone. Michael was a perfectionist in everything he did and took great pride in a job well done, be it at work, or at home. For the past four months Michael has faithfully visited his mum Ethel in the nursing home she lives in. He felt good about spending time with Mum and took great comfort in knowing his time with her made a difference in her life and in his. His family were very proud of him. Michael will be sadly missed by his beloved best friend Theresa, his mother Ethel Lyttle, sisters Margaret (Ronnie) Humphries of Oshawa, Ethel Bouchard of Corunna, Frances Birkenhead of New Zealand, Maureen (John) Guzi of Corunna, and brothers Thomas (Jackie) Lyttle of Corunna and Robert (Jean) Lyttle of Port Lambton. He was a dearly loved “Uncle Mickey“ to many nieces and nephews who loved to be near him and will be greatly missed by them all. He leaves behind a true and loyal friend in Dave McGregor (Bubs) and many friends who have helped him over the years. Michael is predeceased by his father Francis John Lyttle, two brothers-in-law Rolly Bouchard and Peter Birkenhead, sister-in-law Louise Lyttle, beloved niece Joanne Lyttle and nephew Richard Birkenhead. Michael was a great animal lover and will be sorely missed by his two adoring dogs Max and Mickey. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Celebration of Michael's Life will take place in the near future, date to be announced. Because of Michael's great love of animals donations to the Sarnia Humane Society would be appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers. Arrangements entrusted to the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME.
