SMITH, Dorothy Comfort "Dot" (nee Starr) Peacefully, Sunday October 31, 2004 at Colonel By Residence, age 94, of Alzheimer's disease. Mother of David (since deceased), Keith, and Philip. Grandmother of Eric, Duncan, Sarah, Wendi, Christopher, Evan, and Rhonda. Great-grandmother of Kyla and Adrian. Aunt, cousin and friend to a large, loving community. Chemist, civil servant, musician, outdoorswoman, photographer, teacher, volunteer, active member of the First Unitarian Congregation, and holder of the Governor General's Award. Service to be held at the First Unitarian Congregation, 30 Cleary Avenue, Sunday November 14th, 2004 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Red Cross, Amnesty International, or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
