Member Canadian Airborne Forces Association, Past Director Ontario Harness Horse Association, Member of Kerr Lodge AF and AM #230, Barrie. Suddenly at Niagara Falls, Ontario on Monday, November 24th, 2008 Chuck Byron of Barrie (in his 78th year). Beloved husband of Maryan Byron and the late Ruth Byron. Loving father of Debra Turner and husband Wayne of Midland, William Byron and wife Wendy of Cookstown, David Byron and wife Lorraine of Thornton, Gail Cranston and husband Robert of Barrie. Susan Patterson and husband Bill of Minesing, Stephen Byron and wife Susan of Thornton and the late Paul Byron. Loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and predeceased by 1 grandson. Stepfather of Jim Cox of Guelph, Patricia St Louis and husband Joe of Barrie, Doug Cox and wife Effie of Iqaluit, NU, Gail Cairns and husband Keith of Barrie, Greg Cox and wife Susan of Barrie, Suzanne Cox and husband Robert Murphy of Alliston. Dear brother of Margaret Fulton and late husband Bud, Ron Byron and wife Margaret, late Dorothy Holman and late husband Joseph and survived by his sister, Doris Irving in England. Friends may call at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME (201 Minet's Point Road at Yonge Street) Barrie on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Friday, November 28th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Barrie Union Cemetery. A Masonic Service under the auspices of Kerr Lodge AF and AM #230, Barrie will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. followed by a combined ANAF and Korea Veterans Service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army, Barrie or Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated by the family.
