MORRIS, JOYCE - 60, of Rothesay. Joyce Morris died suddenly as a result of an automobile accident on November 2, 2004 in Aliwol North, South Africa. Born Joyce MacKay in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Joyce moved to Saint John with her parents in 1962 and shortly thereafter met and married her beloved husband and best friend Brian. After the birth of their daughter, Susan, Joyce embarked on a lengthy and successful career in real estate sales in the Saint John area, retiring in 1994. Joyce and Brian then shared many joyful retirement years together, spending summers in Saint John and winters in South Africa with their many friends and family. Joyce became an avid golfer, and was a member of the Hampton Golf and Coutry Club and the Royal Johannesburg Golf Club. Joyce will be forever sadly missed by all of those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be loved and remembered for her joyful and fun-loving spirit, her kindness and friendliness towards others, and her smiles, laughter, and love for life. Joyce is survived by her husband, Brian, her daughter Susan of Ottawa, her mother Christina MacKay of Saint John, her sisters Norma Frame of Welland, ON and Margaret Dickson of Bedfordview, South Africa, her brother Billy MacKay of Freemantle, Australia, extended family members and many loving friends. Please join us for Joyce's memorial service at 1pm on Tuesday, November 23 at St. Luke's Anglican Church in Gondola Point. Reception at Church Hall to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or to charity of donor's choice would be appreciated .
