THIESSEN, Alan Peter, Passed away in his Salmon Valley home, surrounded by his family and a few close friends, on November 2, 2004, at the age of 48. So suddenly to us, but not to God. He is survived by Deanne, his loving and devoted wife of 25 year s, and his beloved children Jesh, Heidi, Kari and Jaydon. A husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. A walking testament of the Lord's goodness. Al owned and operated Thiessen Services until September 1, 2004, when he was diagnosed with a malignan t brain tumor. Many thanks to those who stopped by to share their love with Al and his family during these difficult times. God bless all those who so generously helped out on the farm, in the house and with the business. Alan was predeceased by his father (John), his brothers Robert and Tom and his sister-in-law Bonnie. His life and testimony will be forever remembered by his mother (Elfie Thiessen), his sisters Joyce (Wilf) Smith, Marlene (Bob) McGoran and Janice (Mark) Holmes, his brothers Vi c, Jim (Wendy), Harold (Laura) and John (Ruth), as well as many nieces and nephews in BC and Ontario. Al's desire was that God would be glorified in his life and in his death. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the f aith. Now there is in store for me, the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8. There will be a Memorial Serv ice on Saturday, November 6th at 1:30 p.m. at the Armstrong Bible Chapel.
