Kathleen Mary McVarnock (née McCann) February 25, 1940 - November 03, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Lower Sackville) McVARNOCK (McCann), Kathleen Mary - 64, Lower Sackville, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away November 3, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Thomas, Lower Sackville; sons, Robert, Shearwater; Steven, Yellowknife; sisters, Alice McCann, Belfast, Northern Ireland; Gerri (McCann) Burns, Belfast, Northern Ireland; brothers, Robert McCann, Toronto; James McCann, Richmond, B.C., and five grandchildren. She was an avid walker and was a member of TOPS for 33 years. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Calais Branch 162, Lower Sackville. Public viewing to take place in Atlantic Funeral Home, Sackville Drive, on Sunday, November 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service to take place on Monday, November 8, in St. John Vianney Church, Lower Sackville, at 2 p.m. Reception to follow in the Royal Canadian Legion, Sackville Crossroad. Interment will be in the family plot in her birth place of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Special thanks to all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII in Halifax, as well as all the members of the VON who treated her. Family flowers only.
