Shirley Stymest 1932-2004 REXTON, NB - Shirley Stymest, 71, of Rexton, NB, wife of Ronald Stymest, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on Friday, July 23, 2004. Born in Powell River, BC, she was the daughter of late David John Cummings and Violet (Brambsy) Cummings. Shirley was the former co-owner and operator of Irving Convenience Store, Rexton. She attended St. Anrew's United Church, Rexton and was a member of the church choir, treasurer, and member of the Eastern Star, she was on the committee of Stewards and held office in St. Andrew's U.C.W. and Chignecto Presbyterial U.C.W. Besides her husband, Ronald, she is survived by her daugher, Jennifer Joudry, Moncton; two sons, Claude, Lower Sackville, NS, and Wade of Sarnia, ON; five grandchildren, Jessica, Blake, Tyler, Colin, and Justin; two sisters, Eileen Patrick of Campbell River, BC and Violet Daley of Port Hardy, BC. She was predeceased by two sisters and one brother. There will be no visitation or viewing as per Shirley's wish. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Rexton, on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 2:00pm with Rev. Beth Johnston officiating.
