Joan Catherine Castle March 04, 1932 - November 07, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) CASTLE, Joan Catherine - 72, Cole Harbour, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 7, 2004, in Dartmouth General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 4, 1932, in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Emma Louise (Bayers) Castle. Joan will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her many family and friends. She is survived by sisters, Connie Dowding with whom she resided and Marie Collins, both of Cole Harbour; brothers, Vernon (Helen) Castle, Carroll's Corner; Ray (Joan), Gays River; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Eva in infancy; brothers, Kenneth, Jack, Murray. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre. Interment will be held at a later date in the family plot in Dutch Settlement.
