WHITNEY, Fred, B. It is with great sadness the family of Fred Whitney announces his passing at age 61 after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at his home in Seeleys Bay. He is survived by his wife and best friend Mary, his s on Ben - the pride of his life, Christie his caring daughter-in-law, and his precious grandson Benjamin. He is also survived by his dear mother Janet (aged 91) at Providence Manor in Kingston; dear brother King (Angee) of Kingston; predeceased by his father Fred (1980). He leaves behind many extended family members and friends for whom Fred always had time to spend and a story to tell. A memorial service will be held at the Seeleys Bay United Church, Wednesday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. There wil l be no visitation. In lieu of flowers donations would be gratefully accepted for either the Seeleys Bay United Church or the Amherstview Day Care.
