GLASGOW, Alexander “Sandy“ - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of “Sandy“ Alexander Glasgow, surrounded by his family, Friday December 26, 2008, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake. Beloved husband of Valerie, loving father of Kevin (Elizabeth) of Montreal, Karen (Mark) of New Hampshire and Adrian (Kathy) of Prince Albert. Cherished grandfather of Michele, Erik, Bryan, Zachary, Jeremy and Adrianna. “Sandy“ is predeceased by his parents James and Maria and he is survived by his sister Anne in England. A longtime resident of our community, a retiree of Rio Algom and a local Masonic Lodge member in good standing “Sandy“ will truly be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, Masonic Brothers and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Elliot Lake Masonic Lodge on Wednesday December 31st at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to either the St. Joseph Equipment Fund or the Sault Ste Marie Cancer Clinic, would be greatly appreciated by his family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services. At this time the family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Elliot Lake Hospital staff, Dr. Walde and the Sault Cancer clinic for their kind and considerate caring for Alexander.
