Mr. Maxwell "Max" L. Harned February 15, 1931 - November 08, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Castle Funeral Home-Fallsview Chapel Maxwell L. Harned - Loving husband of 44 years to Audrey (McEachern) Harned passed away peacefully in his sleep, after a lengthy illness on Monday, November 8, 2004 at the Carleton- Kirk Nursing Home. Born in Saint John, West, a son of the Late Edward and Gwendolyn (Meister) Harned. "Max" worked for over 45 years at the Saint John Port and was a member of the I.L.A. local #273 for over 40 years. He was a hard worker all of his life and also spent his time , commercial fishing, boat building and busying himself with carpentry. In addition to his devoted wife Audrey, Max is also survived by his children Laura (John Stewart), Maxine "Lindy" (Ted Finley) , David all of Saint John, NB, and Chris "Bam" (Elaine), Grand Bay, NB; brothers Maurice, Allison "Buddy", Lloyd, Jack, and sister Gloria, seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Althea and brother Gordon in infancy. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at 11:00 am from Fallsview Chapel. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
