Edward Paul Kyte September 17, 1941 - November 08, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) KYTE, Edward Paul - 63, Dartmouth, slipped away from us peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Sydney, Ed was a son of Frances and the late Paul Kyte. Ed retired as a Warrant Officer from the Canadian Military following 35 years of dedicated service. Following retirement, Ed continued in the workforce with Eagle Security at various locations throughout Metro, retiring once again in 2002 as Supervisor of Security at the Autoport in Woodside. Ed was a kind and loving human being always quick to put others first. He was a devoted family man and touched the hearts of anyone he met. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Sandy (McCready); his stepdaughters, Deanne (Lawrence) and Lori Lappin; sisters, Helen (Perky) Hyde, Dartmouth; Sherry (Wally) MacKenzie, Sydney; Kay (Art) Pittman, Bedford; brother, David (Jennifer) Kyte, Houston, Tex.; daughters, Kelly (Louis) Blandon, Hammonds Plains; Tammy Kyte, Sydney; son, Paul (Deborah) Kyte, Ontario; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 12 nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where visitation will be from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 10. A service of celebration of Ed's life will be held Thursday, November 11, at 2 p.m. in Woodlawn United Church, 56 Woodlawn Rd., Dartmouth, Rev. Gordon Murray and Mrs. Dianne Hill co-officiating. Burial will be in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Woodlawn United Church or a charity of your choice.
