Lucille GAGNON

ENO, Lucille “Lou“ - It is with great sadness and regret that the family announces the death of Mrs Lucille “Lou“ Eno at the age of 76 years. Lou passed away with her loving family and friends by her side following a brief battle with cancer at St Joseph's General Hospital - Elliott Lake, on Friday, January 9, 2009. Lou was born at North Cobalt on July 8, 1932 to the late Hermenegilde [Joe] and Blanche Gagnon, and lived her entire life in Matachewan. Lou was a devoted single mother of five children when she met her future husband Ray Eno. Ray helped raise the children and not long after Gordon was born. Dad and Mom were blessed with 46 years together before his tragic passing in 2001. Mom kept strong and continued to fulfill her life with the company of her family and friends. She enjoyed playing many games of cards with the family, but her greatest passion was fishing. Mom was also well known for her warmth, her welcoming nature and the smell of her home made bread. Predeceased by her parents Hermenegilde [Joe] and Blanche Gagnon; her husband Ray Eno; her granddaughter Linda Letellier; her sister Bertha King; and her sister-in-law Loretta Gagnon. She will be sadly missed by her children: Edward [and Michelle] Letellier of Elliot Lake, Ray [and Margaret] Letellier of Matachewan, Denis Letellier of Hearst, Sue [and Armand Forcier] of Kenabeek, Theodore Letellier [and friend Diane Birch] of Toronto and Gordon [and Vivian] Eno of Newmarket. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Raymond Jr., Tanya, Adam, Eugene, Jimmy, Elysia, Alexandra, and Nikolaos; great- grandchildren: PJ, Tyler, Kyla, Tyson, Taylor, Riley, and Maya. Also left to mourn are her siblings: George Gagnon, Annette [and Guy] Dubé, Beatrice [and Maurice] Roy, Ernest [and Janice] Gagnon; brother-in-law Mervin King; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will be welcoming friends at the Matachewan Community Centre on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 2: to 4: pm and 7: to 9:pm. Funeral services will be held at the Matachewan Community Centre on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 11:am. Reverend Micol Cottrell officiating. Spring interment will take place beside her husband at the Cobalt Veterans Cemetery - Haileybury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the St. Joseph's General Hospital Palliative Care Program will be gratefully acknowledged.
