Karen Margaret Blodgett September 07, 1944 - November 09, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) BLODGETT, Karen Margaret - 60, Dartmouth, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2004, at home. Born in Springhill, she was the daughter of the late Carlos and Ethel (Sencabaugh) Ripley. She worked for many years in Toronto in the beauty supply business. In 1989, she returned and worked for Metro Transit until 1996. She then became principal caregiver to her mother, until her mother's death in 2003. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends at the cottage in Parrsboro. She is survived by children, Bruce, Tim and Angela, all of Toronto; six grandchildren; brothers, Eric Ripley (Kathy LeBlanc), Bear River; Ron Ripley (Sue), Dartmouth. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, in Woodlawn United Church, 56 Woodlawn Rd., Dartmouth, Mrs. Dianne Hill and Rev. Gordon Murray co-officiating. Burial will be in Trinity United Church Cemetery, Parrsboro, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of one's choice.
