CARBERT, Harry - At Grey Gables, Monday January 12, 2009. Cecil Henry 'Harry' Carbert of Markdale in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Doris Carbert (nee McInnis). Dear father of Eileen Seabrook (Bob Minshall) of Innerkip, Brenda Ratcliffe of Meaford and Doug Carbert of Markdale. Loving grandfather of Jason Seabrook (Lisa), Robin Seabrook (Andy), Donovan Minshall, Bill Ratcliffe (Gen), A.J. Ratcliffe and dear great-grandfather of Evan Ratcliffe. Sadly missed by sister Isabel Goudy (Walter), sister-in-law Wilda Carbert and his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Nelson, Glen and Reg (Mary). The family received friends at the MAY FUNERAL HOME, Markdale, Wednesday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m. where Rev. Mark Waugh officiated at a funeral service held Thursday January 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Music included the congregational hymns “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” and “Abide with Me” accompanied by pianist Jane Johnston. Pall bearers were Bill Ratcliffe, Jason Seabrook, Bob Minshall, Donovan Minshall, Bruce Goudy and Wayne Goudy. Spring interment in Markdale Cemetery. Memorial donations were directed to Annesley United Church and Grey Gables Resident's Council. Following the service friends and relatives joined the family for a time of refreshment and fellowship at Annesley United Church Fellowship Hall. 11387694
