MALEK, John Stephen. Peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends on Friday, November 12, 2004. Born in Montreal, Quebec on June 2nd, 1935. He is survived by his cherished partner Corinne, his 5 beloved children Maria (Robe), Kathryn (Blair), Paul (Kathie), David (Fiona) and Joe (Nancy), their mother Brenda Carley and 7 grandchildren Luke, Bryan, Catrina, Chloe, Sophie, Clare and Michael. Also survived by Corinne's children Michael and Jim (Connie) and 4 grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ryan, Tyler and Emily. Son of the late Mary and John Malek and brother of Wanda (Eddie), Walter (Judy) and Stevie. John was a loyal friend and welcoming neighbour who always had a project on the go, often someone else's. Music lover, singer, dancer and world traveller after 34 years with Air Canada. He kept us laughing with his wit and relaxed us with his warmth and charm. Generous with his time, his family and friends were his life focus. We will miss you John and we celebrate the gift of your life. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2313 Carling Avenue (west of Carlingwood) Monday, November 15, 2004, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, November 16, 2004, to St. Patrick's Church, Fallowfield, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, In Memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
