Evelyn HASTIE

EVELYN WARREN (nee Hastie) Evelyn Warren (nee Hastie) passed away in Hanover Hospital, in her 88th year. Evelyn was born in Bentinck Township in 1921 across the road from the homestead of her great-grandparents David and Margaret Hastie. She went to Louise School with Bob and her cousins until she was 11 years old. Her father and mother Bob and Alice Hastie, moved to Toronto, where he worked in a lumber company until retirement. Evelyn was married in 1939 to Reg Warren. They had two sons, Gary and Lyall. Gary died in 1962 in a car accident and Reg died in 1995. Evelyn moved up to the Village Seniors' Community to be nearer to her son Lyall and Sandra (daughter-in-law). Leaving her son Lyall and his wife Sandra of RR 1 Hanover, grandson Kevin of Walkerton and granddaughter Kim and husband Dave and their children Austin, Aleah and Ava of Chesley. She was predeceased by her husband Reg and son Gary and her mother and father Bob and Alice Hastie. A private family visitation with a memorial service at a later date. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
