VERA MAY DOMM Vera May Domm (nee Johnson) and formerly Hargrave, of Durham, passed away in Durham Hospital on Sunday, January 25, 2009 in her 94th year. Wife of the late Clarence Domm. Loved and devoted mother of Russel (Darlene) Hargrave of Parry Sound, Robert (Barbara) Hargrave of Angus, Shirley Neff of Oakville, Sherldine (Bryan) Forrest of Vancouver and Donna-Jean (Garry) Kuehl of Kitchener. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by brothers Doug and Ivan Johnson. The family received friends at the Fawcett-McEachern Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Durham on Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service was held in the Durham Presbyterian Church at 1 pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 with visiting one hour prior to service. Spring Interment Maplewood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Durham Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Vera was a very proud member of the early pioneer families of Johnson, Douglas, Nelson, Pinder and Orchard who settled in Egremont and Normanby Townships in Grey County. She was a well known quilter and active in her church, the Rebekah Lodge, Hospital Auxiliary and other community organizations over the years.
