NIXON, Ethel - Surrounded by her loving family at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville, on Sunday, February 1, 2009, in her 82nd year. Wife of the late Alton Nixon (1998). Loving mother of Eldon (Judy), Carol (Harold) Vine, Chris (Wendy), David, Melanie (Ron) Stirtzinger, Trudy (Ron) Williamson, and Glen (Paula). Lovingingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Mervin Young, Bill Young, Florie Noble, and sister-in-law of Betty Young and Reta Arthurs. Predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law Lynn and Rodger Young, sister Ivy Cruise and brother George Young. Ethel was with the Girl Guides of Canada for 45 years and also was involved in the community with various clubs and organizations. Friends were received at the BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad St. E., Dunnville, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 5, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
