Gerard J. ALLAIN

Gerard J. Allain, age 79, of Danbury, died Friday September 23, 2005 at Danbury Health Care. He is the husband of Yvette (Martin) Allain.He was born April 17, 1926 in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada, son of the late Octave and Octavie (Leblanc) Allain.He was employed by Danbury Hospital in the maintenance department, retiring after numerous years of service. He resided in Norwalk, prior to moving to Danbury in 1972. Mr. Gerard was a member a member of Saint Peter Church and a usher at the 5:30 Mass.In addition to his wife he is survived by a brother, Arthur Allain of Sudbury, Ontario Canada; two sisters, Irene Bourque of Monoton, New Brunswick, Canada and Eva Bernier of Danbury and Sister Adele Arsenault, P.S.S.F. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Alma Arsenault, Marie Allain and Lea Allain; three brothers, Frank, Treffle and Edgar Allain.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Church Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Tuesday from 8 to 9 a.m.Contributions in Gerard's memory may be made to Connecticut Chapter American Parkinson Disease Association, 27 Allendale Drive, North Haven, CT 06473.
