ALLARD, DENNIS R., 64, of Abbott Run Valley Road died Tuesday, December 27 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the beloved husband of the late Connie (McNeil) Allard. Born in Central Falls, a son of Russell Allard, Sr. of Lincoln and the late Anna (Chaston) Allard, he was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.Mr. Allard was a retired salesman with Sunbeam Bread and the owner of Connie's Beauty Salon.To honor the loss of his wife, he was committed to the building and dedication of the new St. Aidan's Church in Cumberland, where he was a communicant and former trustee of the Church.He was formerly a Fire Warden for the Valley Falls Fire Department and volunteered his time to the Ronald McDonald House in Providence. He was currently serving as President of the Apple Ridge Condominium Association. Mr. Allard was a U.S. Marine Corps Corporal and served during peacetime.Besides his father, he was the adored father of Cheryl Allard Sheehy of Rumford and Lisa Allard Crowe of Cumberland and the devoted grandfather of Samantha and Zachary Sheehy, both of Rumford and Nicholas and Sydney Crowe, both of Cumberland. He is also survived by two brothers, Russell Allard of Cumberland and Allan Allard of Smithfield; a sister, Marilyn Seifert of Woonsocket; his sons-in-law, Christopher Sheehy of Rumford and Alan Crowe of Cumberland; his father-in-law, Arthur McNeil of Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews. He was the son-in-law of the late Annette (Cadieux) McNeil.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held FRIDAY, December 30 at 10 A.M. in St. Aidan's Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will be private. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Allard's memory to the Ronald McDonald House, 45 Gay St., Providence, RI 02905 would be appreciated.
