Raymond W. Allard, age 94, of Rice Lake and formerly of Spooner died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, in Rice Lake. Raymond William Allard was born on November 30, 1910, in Chippewa Falls to William and Sarah (Henneman) Allard. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire Business Institute.Raymond was united in marriage to Josephine Ondris of Phillips on February 23, 1951. She preceded him in death in 1976. He married Vivian (Stone) Behm in 1977.Ray served in the U.S. Army from June 12, 1943, until December 21, 1945. He was a WW II Veteran and served in the European Theater. He was a liquor salesman for Ed Phillips & Sons for 38 years, retiring in 1974.Ray is survived by his wife, Vivian of Rice Lake; son, Raymond Jr. (Kim) of Sebring, Fla., and grandchildren, Cody and Pam; son, Bill (Lori) of Spooner and grandchildren, Kevin, Mike, Billy and JoAnna and great-grandchild, Rayden; son, Steve (Martha) of Spooner and grandchildren, Shannon, Lesa, Trish and Steph, great-grandchild, Tyler; daughter, Dorothy (Ray) Schwochert of Spooner and grandchildren, Jennifer and Sarah.In addition to his first wife, Josephine, he was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lillian Schwahn; and brother, Richard.Mass of Christian burial for Raymond W. Allard will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2005, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, with Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Dahl Funeral Home in Spooner, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Special music will be provided by Sr. Dominica Effertz and the St. Francis de Sales choir.Interment will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner with military honors provided by the Spooner Area Honor Guard in conjunction with the Wisconsin Military Funeral Honors Program, Spooner Detachment.Casket bearers are grandchildren, Mike, Kevin, Bill Jr., Shannon, Sarah and Lesa.
