BEGIN, RITA H. (BEAUCHEMIN), of Welles St., Woonsocket, died Tuesday December 27, 2005 at home. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Begin. Born July 1, 1920 in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Alcee H. and Hilda (Lavallee) Beauchemin. She was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket. She was a graduate of the RI Hospital School of Nursing. She had been a Registered Nurse for Landmark Medical Center, formerly the Woonsocket Hospital for 19 years retiring in 1980. She was a Communicant of Precious Blood Church and former member of its choir. She was also a former member of the Catholic Nurses Guild and Kirkbrae Country Club.She is survived by two sons, Richard Begin of Narragansett and Roger Begin of Woonsocket; five daughters, Michelle Begin, Jeannine Allard and Jacqueline Dufresne all of No. Smithfield, Denise Leighton of Barrington and Madeleine Sitnik of Lincoln; a brother, Richard J. Beauchemin of No. Smithfield; twenty-five grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Raymond, Robert, Louis and Roland Beauchemin and Lorraine Barrette.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 A.M. in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are Friday 4-7 P.M. in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
