Florence G. BELANGER

WAYLAND, Mich. - Florence G. Walters, nee Belanger, age 96, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, in Wayland, Mich.Florence was born on Dec. 20, 1908 in Cheboygan. On April 1, 1934, she was married to Homer Walters and lived in Mackinaw City. Florence became a very active member of St. Anthony's Parish Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the Mackinaw City Women's Club and the school PTA. For the past several years she has divided her time between Mackinaw City and Punta Gorda, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; her sisters, Marie, Louella and Aileen; and her brother, Ed.She is survived by her children, Chuck and Hazel of Mackinaw City, Bernard “Bunny” and JoAnn of Dorr, Mich., and Tom and Denise of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be conducted in the spring.The Reyers North Valley Chapel in Grand Rapids cared for the family.
