BERNIER, James Dana - March 10, 1954 - December 4, 2005 Died December 4, 2005 unexpectedly in Seattle, WA. Born in San Jose, CA, raised in San Carlos, CA. Employed by Alaska Airlines for 20 years. Dear son and survived by Mervin and Eleanor Bernier of San Carlos; loved by sister and brother in-law, Carol and Gary Parkhurst of Walnut Creek, CA; adored uncle of Steve Parkhurst of Concord, CA, and Elizabeth Parkhurst of New Haven, CT. Also survived by uncle and aunt, Dr. Herbert and Neva CIattenburg; cousins, Denise Sans, Craig and Jeany Clattenburg all of Redwood City, Gail and Stan Carlson of Renton, WA, Marcia Schulz of Clovis, CA, and Uncle Edward Trett of Missouri. As a youth James was active in Boy Scouts and the Youth Drum and Bugle Corp. Graduate of San Carlos H.S. and Sacramento State College with a BS degree. Loved the out-of-doors hiking extensively in the Pacific Northwest and along the Pacific Rim Trail in California. Enjoyed learning, traveling, music and the arts. His first love was flying which he enjoyed as a licensed pilot. He was an avid reader and sportsman. He loved and is loved. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1106 Alameda de Las Pulgas, San Carlos, December 15, 2005 at 1PM. Contributions may be made in James Dana's name to the Save the Redwood League or the Boy Scouts or America.
